Vacationing in the Blue Ridge Mountains at Our Cabin in North Carolina
Lose yourself in the magic of the mountains.
In the heart of Appalachia, you can explore hiking trails and quaint small towns, visit state parks and national forests, delve into Civil War history and local art, tap your foot to the beat of a bluegrass band, traverse rivers in your kayak or canoe, cruise the Blue Ridge Parkway, or fall asleep reading in the hammock on our wrap-around porch.
Enjoy the best of southern hospitality while going back to nature as you, your family or friends relax into the perfect getaway in our restored 19th century antique log cabin, located in Lansing, North Carolina. You'll find yourself in a unique corner of the world. This is mountain country, American-style, where North Carolina meets Tennessee meets Virginia.
While we offer our guests (with room to sleep up to 6) a special escape from the ordinary, it does come complete with modern conveniences, including an updated kitchen, TV, stereo with CD player, full bath, washer and dryer, gas grill, and more! We welcome you as well as Fido.
Planning a getaway to the Blue Ridge Mountains is easy once you book your stay at Husk Homestead. Think of our log cabin as your home base in the mountains. We are located close to many revitalized small towns home to unique shops, art galleries, restaurants and events, as well as Cherokee National Forest, the Appalachian Trail, and New River State Park.
But as the locals say, "There's a lot to do around here...if you feel like it." You can choose to pack your days with exploring and activities, or simply relax on the porch, in our third-floor Attic Getaway, or in our restored antique claw-foot tub. However you spend your days in the mountains, they are certain to be full of your own kind of magic.
